ID Assets, LLC was built on the recognition that domain names are strategic assets routinely overlooked and misunderstood. From its early days mired in secrecy, trademark disputes, and misinformation, the domain name industry has made progress and is emerging and drawing attention as a viable alternative investment haven.
Our approach to domain names centers on the following:
Domain Acquisition and Sales
We buy domain names as assets to hold, sell, or develop. The bulk of our portfolio consists of .com domains comprised of highly-searched and/or instantly recognizable product keywords–e.g. LobWedges.com and ImpactNailers.com–while a small portion includes exemplary .net, .org, and .us domains–e.g. Weatherstripping.net, HumanPotential.org, and CreditChecks.us.
Development
A select group of domain names in our portfolio is earmarked for development as websites and subsidiary businesses–e.g. Menemsha.com, our Martha’s Vineyard directory.
Education
We recognize that the lack of information, outright misinformation, and the actions of a few have worked against the reputation of the many good people involved in the domain industry. As such, we are committed to debunking the myths, exposing the miscreants, and shedding light on an extremely exciting and vital industry. We believe in the value and importance of domain names and in the companies and persons we’ve had the pleasure and good fortune of meeting and working with over the years. Thus, we take the industry seriously, have little patience for cybersquatters and trademark violators, and are always happy to discuss or answer questions on the nature of our business.
